Red Cross seeks 40,000 volunteers
The American Red Cross made an urgent plea Saturday for 40,000 new volunteers to help feed, house and comfort Hurricane Katrina victims. Meanwhile, the Army Corps of Engineers estimated New Orleans could be drained in about three weeks instead of the earlier estimate of 80 days.

Let's make it happen people!

The Red Cross is not to be trusted. Donations intended for Katrina will not be used for such. It would be better to donate to the Salvation Army where 100% goes to the cause.

Speaking from the other side of the world, why are they moving people back to a flood plain ?

How stupid is that?
